I gave Pechanga an overall 5 star rating just because we enjoy being here; it may be a bit high.
Check in was easy and you can save a few dollars with a Passport America membership - we stayed a month and saved a lot by joining. Finding our site was easy. We wanted a pull thru but they wouldn't give us one because we were staying 29 days - that's the maximum anyone can stay. If you want to stay longer you need to leave for a day and come back. You can park/dry camp in their parking lot. They said this is because they don't have residents - something with CA law.
Roads are paved and adequately sized to turn into sites. Sites are concrete and fairly level. We have stayed here in a pull thru site and found it adequate. This time we found a back-in rather tight. Our car just made it on the site. When our family came to visit parking was a problem. The office told us to have them park in one of the parking lots and take a shuttle to us. Our daughter just had a baby so this was not possible. We managed, but found this suggestion off-putting.
Other than the small sites, (our coach is 34'; not sure how you'd fit with a larger one and a car/toad), we still love this place. Pool is lovely with two hot tubs; shuttle service is outstanding; several restaurants to choose from; gas station right there, with propane. Decent dog park, often no poop bags; plenty of grassy areas to walk a dog though. Weekends are particularly busy and holidays are crazy-busy, with lots of families and children around.
Hook ups were fine, but cable did not work well - did complain and supposedly they sent someone to fix it but we had few channels with poor reception throughout our stay. Internet wasn't bad. Restrooms were clean.
There is a ton of construction going on - they offer ear plugs at check in.
Will be staying here again in the fall and again asked for a pull thru. Apparently the rules changed and we can get this kind of site for a long stay but of course they are booked for part of the time we'll be there so we're on a wait list as we'd rather not have to move.
Also of note is the location. There are a ton of things to do in Temecula, with a huge variety of eateries in all price ranges. We find this part of the fun of staying here.
Yes, Pechanga is pretty expensive for a campground, but it is spotless, very beautiful, offers lots af amenities, and generally a wonderful place to stay!

Wasn't sure what to expect based upon other reviews but we found this to be a lovely campground. Arrived after the office closed but information was waiting for us with clear directions to our site - a pull through with FHU. Roads were quite bumpy; site was gravel and uneven but leveling system compensated. Nice grassy areas around the site and site was a good size. Lake was lovely wth a resident goose family; pool was clean and appealing; grounds in general seemed well maintained. There is a bike rental shop on site, and a small convenience/snack shop - we arrived late so didn't go into either but these are nice touches. Buildings in general are older and seem well-used.
This is a rather pretty campground once you pass the entrance gate with a nice, welcoming 'feel'. We would definitely stay here again.

One of the nicest KOA's we've seen. Office is open till 9 so checking in at 6:30 was no problem. Ordered pizza when we arrived and asked for delivery an hour and a half later and it arrived perfectly on time - a wonderful perk to have at a campground, and it was very good pizza!
Sites are gravel and fairly level. All hook ups worked well and were placed conveniently. Trees throughout the campground for decent shade. Nice dog walk area, but it needed mowing. Roads were dirt, fairly smooth and wide enough for easy turns. Staff guide you to your site and show you where all hook ups are which was a lovely, welcoming touch.
This campground is right off the highway but as others have said still very quiet. We would defiantly stay here again.

This is a lovely campground that we'd definitely return to. Although the sites were gravel, this was the most level site we've had. Most sites are back in; we tow so wanted a pull-thru. There are several pull thru sites but they only have electric - no water, no sewer. For a one night stay it was good enough.
Sites are roomy with a nice grass area by each one. Good dog walk area and poop bags/disposal around the camp ground. Cute play ground for children. Lots to do with shops in Saunders Village, as well as plenty of amenities available at the Inn. There's a restaurant and bakery on site too
Signage was a bit confusing as campers need to register at the Inn but signs were pointing in different directions.
Also couldn't find restrooms easily - was sent to a building that wasn't open yet.
Overall though this is a little gem in Ohio farmland.

At first glance Dakota Ridge looks lovely. As you drive in to your site though, (we arrived at 7 pm; office was closed but paperwork was waiting for us in the lobby), the roads are very narrow, cars jutt into the roads making driving to your spot a challenge - a big challenge. Our site was small - all the sites are narrow and short - which is why cars and rigs extend into the roadways. The site itself was a nice level slab - but there's grass on either side and there's almost a ditch and big step down from the slab to the grass if you want to walk around. Because everything is so tight, getting our coach into the site at the right angle was impossible. We tow a car and it's just about sticking out on one corner - we didn't have a choice of pulling up more as even with two joined sewer hoses we would not have been able to reach the dump pipe had we moved up. Water and electric connections work fine but are old. There's soft mud/spongy filling in the ditch in a small area of the concrete pad which I suppose is to facilitate walking but its spongy and prevents putting a step-stool down - so getting into/out of the rig isn't all that easy. These fillings also track dirt wherever you walk. We didn't bother to level our coach as the pads are pretty level - and if we did I don't think I'd be able to get in/out without climbing on handrails. There are signs all over to clean up after your dog - but there are few garbage receptacles; I walked to the office to find one, which was full and I had to stuff a poop bag in.
The pictures of Dakota Ridge are lovely, but clearly taken when the park wasn't nearly filled - during our stay it seems packed. This is one of those cramped parks where if you put your arm out a window you'd come very close to touching your neighbor.
Haven't met any staff - our paperwork said to be sure to check in tmw morning by 10 - however I am expecting them to be overpriced for what's at best mediocre accommodations. We would likely not stay here again. Have no idea how Good Sam rated this camp ground so highly.

We really enjoyed this campground. While the office/convenience store are well-worn, once you go through he gates to the actual campground it's a lovely place. Sites are good sized with everything working. The staff is wonderful and it's worth noting how helpful they were in giving information about the area and accessibility. Meteor Crater is about 5 minutes away and worth seeing - you get a $2 discount to the crater when you stay at the campground; also get a small discount on gas. Used the restroom in the store which was clean but unremarkable. There's a lounge area for RV guests which was empty when we walked through. If we are ever back in this area we would definitely stay here again.

This was our second visit to Blake - the staff were welcoming and helpful; grounds are well maintained; sites are well-sized. Everything worked well at our site; did not use their restrooms. There's a small convenience store for emergency supplies; propane is available right by the office. There's a decent dog park where you can let your dog off leash. Very convenient off the highway, with a gas station right there as well. Would stay here again.

I gave this 5 stars for appeal because the location is incredible. Gorgeous! Breathtaking! The campground is clean; sites are adequate sized for a class A towing. We received a call in the afternoon saying if we got there late there'd be someone to show us around so not to worry. We thought that was very nice. We arrived at around 3 PM. Check in was simple. Didn't use any facilities, but the store at check in was lovely - well supplied plus assorted souvenirs. Internet didn't work well and there's no specific place to walk dogs; cable was fine. We'd go back here in the blink of an eye. The view from the campground - day and night (that night sky around the monuments!) - was wonderful and Monument Valley is just a short drive away.

This was an okay campground but certainly not 10-worthy. Sites were narrow, but each had a picnic bench and most had a tree. The dog walk was a partially fenced in pebble area way in the back, but there were doggie bag stations around the park. We didn't see a pool or any similar facilities. While I didn't use the laundry room, it was well lit and clean. This is a very small campground, with a number of what seem to be long term residents. Water pressure was very strong and upon check in you're told a regulator is necessary. If you don't have one they do sell them in their little store. Cable worked well but internet did not. The best thing about Sundance is it's location. If you're a walker, restaurants and stores are less than a mile away. We ate at some wonderful local places. There's a Walmart less than 2 miles away. It's also convenient if you plan to site see in this area.

I agree with a previous reviewer - 4 stars for being a well run campground. Staff was friendly, helpful and organized. Cable and Internet were good. Grounds were well maintained but there were a few well-worn cabins. Loved the dog park - my dogs loved the dog park - it was clean and there were poop bags at my visit. Location is convenient, right off the highway. Would definitely stay here again for a night or two.

Nice campground, close to the highway with decent restaurants within walking distance or short drives. Spaces are a bit narrow. There are small areas of grass between spots, with picnic tables. There's tent camping right next to RV camping. Internet was ok sometimes and too slow to use others. Cable was good. Check in staff was friendly and gave home baked cookies - a nice touch. Don't know how this got a 10/10/10 though. It's nice, but not close to that standard.

Very pretty campground, well maintained, in front of a large UPS facility. Sites are narrow-ish, but this time of year with a number of empty sites, it didn't really matter. Check in was easy, and a worker guided us to our site. Cottonwood is a smaller campground, something we like, and people seemed rather friendly. Was easy to find off the highway.

Response from Cottonwoods RV Park
Thank you so much for your review. We appreciate your feedback and we are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. The facility you see back on the land behind us is actually the county fairgrounds. Currently, the fair is not held there and UPS was using a small portion of the grounds temporarily during their busiest season. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the additional help with pulling into your site. The gentleman who helped you is named Mark, he is one of our friendly owners. He enjoys meeting our guest and making sure that he can do anything to help make each stay an enjoyable one for our guests. :) We truly appreciate your business and we hope to see you again in the near future!

This KOA campground was ok. Check in was easy. Staff was friendly and helpful - took us to our site. Site was fine - everything worked well - but couldn't level our coach with the automatic leveler. Grounds were fairly woodsy and very 'leafy' this time of year. Acorns pelted the top of our coach during some rain. Dog area was very uneven and poorly lit. Bathroom was clean but well-worn.

Pretty, well maintained campground. We arrived after 7 and another guest showed us where our paperwork was - check in and finding our site was easy. No cable as others have said, wifi didn't connect and they do give you a paper suggesting that if you do use their wifi you contribute $3.00 a day. People at this camp were friendly and employees were efficient and helpful. Didn't use their restrooms so can't comment on them. We've stayed at campgrounds that were truly 10/10/10 and while nice, we didn't see this as quite up to that very high standard.

Fun to stay here with everything named after something Elvis. Facility was clean, bathrooms spotless. Sites were decent in size. Location is great - next to all the Elvis attractions. Overall appearance though is a bit worn.

What a great campground! Upon arrival we were given fresh eggs - the owners, who are lovely and take pride in their camp, explained they had chickens in the back and the eggs were free. There was a sign on the door that they prefer cash or check but they were willing to take a credit card if that's what I preferred. The grounds are gorgeous - spotless and welcoming - with areas of activities for children of all ages, that are all well maintained. Internet was easy to access, but no cable - decent over-the-air signal though. The chickens do roam freely - the owners explained different breeds lay different colored eggs and that some, if you go to them, will squat down for you to pick them up and pet them. We'd readily stay here again - you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive!

This is a tiny campground, that looks more like a parking lot than an RV park. The facility was clean, with decent sized spaces. We didn't use the restrooms but the building where they were was clean. Office staff was friendly. Cable does not work without a box; Internet worked okay. This is a decent facility for a one-night stop.

This park is undergoing an expansion which will almost double it in size. Location is good, easy off-on the highway. Sites are decent size, but not level. People are friendly. No dog park, but perhaps there will be with the renovation; plenty of grass to walk dogs though. Cable worked, Internet did not. Office is tiny but is being replaced by a new, large building. Look forward to staying here again when construction is completed.

This was a nice campground, clean with friendly staff and a cute store, good for forgotten essentials and last minute souvenirs. We did not use the bathrooms, but I'd imagine they were clean as the whole park was clean. Cable tv was decent, but Internet was not working. (One of the workers offered to let me use her personal Internet if needed.) There was a nice dog park - lit at night. Location was convenient to area attractions.
