Great location but our pull thru site required us to unhook in order to move the rig back to where we could reach the hookups. Also, office only open 9-5. Water main broke while we were there and it was during a re-roofing job on the office, so things were a bit chaotic. Bad timing, will try again, but hopefully there are other sites where pull thru really means you can pull through without having to unhook the Toad.

Close to I5, but quiet, nice long pull through site and shade trees all around. Grass and concrete patio for our site. Will definitely stay here again on trips north.

This is a 5 star park any way you look at it! If we needed it, they provided it, including a bus stop on premises, orientation and transportation for tours of DC, a resturante onsite, RV wash, dog walker, gravel sites with grassy areas, no wet feet even in the rain! We had to leave early and they refunded the day we did not use with a smile. Good store onsite as well. Probably the best park we have stayed in.

Very friendly campground located on edge of town, food and gas, etc. close by. Park has gravel sites, with concrete patio pads and all hookups in good shape. Only one washer and dryer, but there is a laundromat nearby. Bathrooms clean. Trashcans at each site and good elbow room and space to park. Campground manager is very helpful and went out of her way to get us local information on places we wanted to visit. We would definitely stay here again.

Convenient location between Lynchburg and Appomatox, but this is an older RV park and shows a lot of signs of wear and tear. Road is bumpy and it is definitely off the beaten track. You can hear trains at night, which we like. Water pressure was very low, no cable or antennae TV available. WiFi hotspot at the office. Laundry room was very small, always in use when we tried. Mostly construction workers here, for long term stays. I also had disappointing experience and did not receive Good Sam discount. I told them we were Good Sam when I made the reservation and manager did tell me to show my membership card when I arrived. I forgot, they did not ask me about it, and result was no discount. She did tell me that I had to show my card at check-in so it is my own fault, but it is the first time I have not been asked at check in. Not the end of the world, just disappointing.

Loved the location and the Buffet was a great way to do lunch after we settled in. There were pot holes in the roads, full of water due to recent rainstorm, but they marked them with cones. We were in a pull thru, but due to location of hookups, had to disconnect and park in front of our rig. A rainstorm in a motorhome in wooded area is never fun, but can't blame the park for the weather. We got allergies and dog got fleas but I would return in a different season.

Out of town spot to stay while visiting Savannah. Very wooded and shady for the most part. Staff was very friendly and helpful, WiFi and cable both worked great. Backs up to a canal, set up with nice fishing dock. Our visit was spring pollen time, so we were sneezing a lot and dog picked up fleas, but both to be expected in the woods of the Georgia low country. Convenience store, gas and propane too are all on site and easy in/out. Good stop over to visit Savannah or as a stop overnight along the 95. Would definitely return. Only negative with the park is the laundry and bathrooms were not the greatest shape, older and some deferred maintenance, half of laundry machines did not work.

The folks who work here are very helpful and friendly. Location is close to just about everything you could want. It appears that many permanent residents camp here and there are personal items, trash and "junk" items sitting around. It's pretty crowded here, lots of snowbirders as well. We ended up next door to a rather strange family, who kept their trash in the back of a truck under our window and left Christmas lights on a tree all night long. Sewer and other hookups were all fine. Local channels acceptable via antennae and WiFi (Tengo net) worked fine. Again, staff were wonderful, but not our favorite park, due to permanent residents and their habits.

Very nice park, and great location. Spaces were a little difficult to back into, because they were on a circle, but not a big deal. WiFi connection in the very comfortable clubhouse. Numerous TV channels could be picked up (no cable). We did not stay long enough to participate in activities, but this is an outdoor active park, court sports, walkers, bikes and lots of dogs too. Would definitely return.

In 7000 miles, this has been the rudest on-site staff we have met. At the check in gate, we were handed a map, man pointed upward and told us to follow the map and find it. When we asked a question, he advised us that we just needed to use the map and get out the way because there were other cars behind us. The following day, I went to the office to ask if they could recommend a vet for my dog. The very nice front desk lady happily did so, saying it was the Vet she uses for her own pets and I was very pleased with the recommendation. However, while the front desk lady was telling me who her vet was, the manager came out from next room and chastised her in front of me, telling her that policy is to never give recommendations. Really. How sad. Most here are permanent, I would say less than 10% are traveling motor-homers. Park is clean, bathrooms are clean, no cable and no wi-fi unless you go to the office or rec room area. Laundry facilities are good, it is gated. So this less than stellar review is based on how I was treated.

We don't want to leave! A delightful destination park, although we were just passing through and never even unhooked the toad. Beautiful grounds, friendly people everywhere, spacious sites, woodsy but lots of green grass and walking or biking paths. There is even a covered bridge! Lots of snowbirds here and I can see why. I hope to come back someday. This is a gem.

Just over-nighted here, but great and convenient place to stop. Located west of Perry, so perfectly located for those traversing the panhandle on less traveled roads. Grass sites that are big, Laundry was convenient, inexpensive. There is also a convenience store, gas station with air for your tires right at the pumps and plenty of turn around space. Would definitely recommend this if passing through. Hunters and tent campers are prevalent, heard some gun shots mid afternoon but far away, both hunting and road traffic were gone by nightfall. Good stop.

Usually I feel that GS reviews are spot on, however not in this case. Specifically, the sites are potholed, lumpy asphalt and our site had trees on both sides so close that we were unable to extend our awning. We asked to move to the site next door, with no trees, but the management said it was not available, offering a worse site instead. This could have been rectified because there were several open sites, but no accommodation was provided. The pull through sites are in between tent campers and permanent residents. Pets can be walked anywhere and that includes the pit bull mix that lives a couple sites down. The sites do have individual large trash cans and WiFi is good. You have to pay extra if you want cable. "Across the street from the beach" means that you can walk and carry your beach chairs and ice chest about the length of 3 football fields. No parking there. There is an amusement park next door too. I am disappointed in this park, and see signs of deferred maintenance everywhere. Suggest Good Sam revisit and review the rating

Almost bypassed this park because it doesn't have other reviews and doesn't link to a website, but glad we came. So enjoyable to listen to the breeze in trees, hear birds, chipmunks and walk in the woods. It appears that the majority of the folks here are permanent residents, mostly 5th wheels or travel trailers with outdoor storage of their overflow and "house plants" surrounding their lawn chairs, but they are friendly, quiet and good neighbors. The wooded spaces are large, pads are gravel and mostly back-ins. Roads are paved, WiFi is great and so is the cable, both free. There is a resturante at the entrance, and it is only about 30 minutes to Mobile or Dauphin Island. We like this camping atmosphere more than concrete cities so its perfect for us. Stayed 5 days and would definitely return. Only negative was that the lady who seems to single-handedly manage the park leaves to run errands during posted business hours, but who can blame her.

Great RV park, close to Baton Rouge and about an hour to New Orleans Concrete sites, very spacious and well maintained hookups. No cable, but everything else was great. Easy to get in and out. Spaces are around a lake/pond and good places to walk or bike ride. There is a dog groomer/day care near by and this was a plus for us. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our three day stay.

Lots of elbow room on sites, had pull through, lots of grass, and could hear the ocean at night. This RV park is outside the Galveston activity area, further down the island, great if you are looking for peace and quiet. Great resturante nearby, called Nate's offering fresh local fish. Owners/managers were awesome, very hands on and even guided me to dog sitters so we could travel into Houston and tour NASA space center. We had wind and rain, so did not use the pools or mini-golf offered but did participate in a breakfast that the owners cooked for us, which happens twice a week.. Things are a bit weathered, but definitely friendly and inviting. Would absolutely stay here again.

A delightful, definitely off the beaten path, camping site, where all of the sites back up to a fishing lake. It's beautiful, serene and you get nice breezes and the sounds of the water lapping against the shore. Heard of this one word-of-mouth by some Good Sam members we met along the road, and so glad we came. Cajun Country, very friendly folks and easy to absorb the culture. We extended our stay, ate some alligator and watched the nearby Lafayette Mardi Gras parade. No license needed to fish, only your pole. Love this place.

While this facility is clean and convenient for my needs, I feel like I am living in a ghost town. Park is about half full, but it appears that more than half of the rigs here are unoccupied. Not sure why. Skeleton crew on staff due to owners surgery during our visit, so office mostly closed, but check-in was easy and staff friendly and very helpful. Lots are concrete and flat, dog walking requirements are lenient, but we were warned about stray dogs coming onsite and they did. Abandoned house across the street, freeway noise, good WiFi and cable connections. No community activities, pool is the size of a puddle, but did not use. Park is OK, just missed seeing other people around.

Arrived intending just to stop for one night and ended up staying 5 nights. Nice, clean, quiet RV park that is located in a town with lots of worthwhile sights to see. Loved the level sites, best WiFi and cable that we have had on a cross country trip and easy location for day trips to San Antonio, LBJ ranch and even Luckenbach. If you go, check out the Pacific War Museum in Fredericksburg. High quality museum for sure.
This park is a hidden gem, would definitely return.

We have stayed here twice and will likely stay again due to location close to grandchildren. It is ,however, a misnomer to call this a resort. The only resort type amenity is donuts and coffee on Saturday mornings. You should know that the lots are quite sloped, requiring jacks and blocks to be level and then extra step needed because you are way up there. The pool is a puddle, There are a lot of changes going on with management, but over Christmas they informed everyone that there would be no more cable service after Jan 9 because their equipment is too old to upgrade to digital. Wifi is very mediocre. Prices have been increased with a decrease of services. This may be to encourage long time residents to move on, but value is not there at this time. I hope they can make improvements as they transition to a shorter-term stay clientel.
