This place is wonderful! The office staff are very nice and helpful. The grounds are very nice. The sites are level. The pool and lazy river are refreshing! There is a short walk to the beach across San Luis Pass Road or you can rent a golf cart. The off-leash dog park is fairly large but it is not lighted at night.
We were here from Sunday to Saturday and it was very quiet and peaceful.
If you need groceries there are several options with a short drive.
Galveston Island RV Resort is a 10 in our opinion and we will return!

The good: the pool and lake are beautiful. The people at check-in are extremely nice and very helpful.
The not so good: Our site was a level pull through not even long enough to fit our 33' fifth wheel and our truck. We had to park the truck across the site. The grassy area around the lake is beautiful but one cannot walk their dogs there. There are supposedly two dog walk areas. The one by the front gate simply leads out of the park to an area that is not fenced. The one at the back of the park is fenced but ridiculously small being about 8' x 40'.
The ugly: getting there! It's in a highly congested area and not real easy to get to.
We would probably not return to Northlake RV Resort due to its location.

This RV park is very nice! All the roads are paved and the sites are level and concrete! There is a pool but no hot tub. There is a beach area but it's not nearly as nice as shown in the promotional pictures.
The dog park is adequate but it's not lighted.
For a park this big there are a very small number of bathrooms but they were nice and clean.
Check-in was a breeze and the office staff are extremely helpful and pleasant.
If you need internet, forget it! It's horrendous!! A resort this nice should invest in better internet. We tried contacting their service provider but it was Memorial weekend so we got absolutely no help. Jinks tried to help but to no avail.
There is a Publix and a Walmart very close by.
Cross the bridge and you're at Navarre Beach.

Very nice people greet you upon arrival. It is a pleasant park with nice shade trees. We happened to be there when the Cottonwood trees were "snowing" and the seeds were everywhere.
If you need internet you're in luck! We were parked right next to a hot spot and it was terrific!
There is no dog park and the dog walking area is right along the frontage road.
Our pull-through was gravel and level.
There is no pool or other amenities. Nice park, nice people - good for overnight!

This is a typical KOA. We stayed two nights. Our pull-through site was gravel and level. The dog park was just ok. It was small and had prairie dog holes which were a huge distraction for my dogs. It was easy to get to and the people were extremely friendly.
There were plenty of things to do close by: huge dog park at the dog shelter, shopping at Sierra Trading Post, restaurants, grocery stores.
The internet was the best thing about this place! We were parked next to a hot spot and it was great!
We would recommend for an overnight stop.

After a long day on the road it was good to stop and be greeted with friendly smiles and helpful staff.
After getting set up on our level pull-through site we enjoyed a swim in the "just right" temperature pool!
There is a kids area that includes a playground, basketball court, and bouncing pillow.
The dog park is a nice size and there are plenty of other grassy areas to walk the dogs.
The WiFi is excellent!!!
We were here overnight and would stop here again if in the area.

This was our second stop at this KOA and it was a big improvement over our last stop. We were very lucky to get a spot because the NCAA Wome's Softball Tournament was being held in OKC.
Our pull- through site was roomy and level and we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere amongst the trees.

This RV park is very nice! All the roads are paved and the sites are level and concrete! There is a pool and two hot tubs. The pool water is cold so the kids are in and out of the hot tubs. They do have an adult swim time from 11:30- 1:00 but it is not enforced. There is enough room here to put in an adult-only pool and hot tub.
The dog park is very nice and large with separate runs for big and small dogs. There is also a walking trail.
There is a very nice gift shop and a cafe serving breakfast and lunch. Check-in was a breeze and the office staff are extremely helpful and pleasant.
If you need internet, forget it! It's horrendous!! A Resort this nice should invest in better internet.
The town of Deadwood is close and it's worth the visit!

This is a KOA Journey. They have extras available like pizza. The pool is nice but could use some work.
The sites are level and shaded. Typical of Nebraska, you will find a cornfield adjacent to the park.
If you need internet, forget it! It's horrible!
Good for overnight stop.

Typical KOA with gravel sites that were wide. Our site was in full sun but there are some that are shaded. It is at the base of Devil's Tower so it is convenient. The KOA store is pretty well stocked with tourist items.
Make sure you have the groceries you need before you arrive as there is no grocery store for miles and miles!
If you need internet you're out of luck! It's horrendous!
The dog park is fairly large and was conveniently located for us.
They show the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" nightly. We were told much of the filming took place on site.
The pool was very cold even though they claim its heated.
Good for a night because you only need a few hours to visit Devil's Tower National.

Spectacular views but this park struck out! We were traveling with two other families and they totally messed up our reservation! (Strike One). The internet was horrendous! (Strike Two). The pool opened the day we left even though it was advertised as open two weeks before our arrival. (Strike Three).
Additionally, our site was not level. The place is like a construction site because they're building cabins on current RV sites and moving the RV park further from the check- in area and pool.
Wait a few years and it may be nice again.

This is a huge KOA! They have a cafe that is open in the morning for coffee, a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. The gift shop sells fudge and many other tourist gifts and a small amount of groceries. There are two grocery stores in West Yellowstone but they are quite pricy. Our site was terraced with a fire pit and swing. It was not level but it was shaded.
The location of the dog park is terrible! It's right in the middle in front of bathrooms and the showers. There is very little grass so it was easier to just walk our dogs on the perimeter where there was grass. There are plenty of other spaces available that would work better for a dog park.
If you need internet, forget it! It's horrible!
The indoor pool was COLD! The hot tub was supposedly for people 14 and older it it was sporadically enforced.
There aren't too many choices when visiting Yellowstone NP and this one worked for us.

Wow! This place is spectacular because of the views! It is close to Little Big Horn National Monument. it is well kept. There are no amenities like a pool or hot tub, or dog park but there is a fantastic trail that leads to the top of a hill with the US flag. The view from the top includes LBHNM. Dogs cN be off-lead on the trail and our dogs loved it!
Be sure to stock up on groceries before you arrive as there is not a real grocery store for at least 25 miles.
If you need internet- forget it! It's horrible!
If you love terrific views of the sunset and mountains this park is it! Quiet and beautiful!!

Rock Springs KOA
Typical KOA. Gravel sites on high, dusty desert plains. The pool was ok- the kids enjoyed it! The dog park was nice and grassy but it needed mowed.
Our site was level with RVs are facing each other so you'd better like your neighbor.
If you need internet, forget it! It's horrible!
Good for overnight stop.

This park is a hidden gem! If you are looking for a place with nice owners and peace and quiet this is a stop you need to make! There are no amenities but it's quiet and peaceful. There are mature trees between the level gravel sites.
This is just an overnight stop for us but we're so glad we called ahead for reservations! It's filled up!
The WiFi is outstanding!
The only thing that would make it better would be a fenced off-leash dog park!
We will definitely stay here again if we travel this way.

One big consideration for us when choosing an RV park is whether or not there is an off-leash dog park. Well, this one has one of the biggest and best! It is a water retention area but my dogs loved it!
We did not use the pool or hot tub because we were only there one night on the way back fro Florida and we had a long travel day! They looked very nice.
The sites here are level with plenty of space between the sites. The WiFi worked well and the park was quiet. There are jets flying over at night but they didn't bother us at all.
We would definitely return here and spend more time exploring the area and visiting Graceland and other attractions in the Memphis area.
This one is a keeper!

Where to start? Be prepared at check-in to receive a wrist band. I felt like I was being admitted to a hospital. I really don't see the necessity for the wrist bands for anyone not paying extra to use the extra amenities. We didn't use the lake activities just the free ones. That being said, this park has it all to be a destination! There are separate pools for adults and children. There is a huge adults-only hot tub for which you must have a blue or green wrist band. Obviously, that is not enforced as there were two young boys swimming laps in it and they were completely ignored by the roving security officer! The Lazy River is so much fun!
There are lake activities and they looked amazing for kids but they are very pricy- $25.00 per day per person.
Unfortunately for us there was a lot of rain. Our site was so muddy we couldn't even walk on the "grassy" area.
The WiFi was ok but it is an extra charge.
This place is going to be huge when finished!
We would like to return in a few years when the grass has time to grow and fill in so it's less muddy!

We stayed here two nights on our way to Florida. The check-in process was easy and quick and they provide an escort to your site. We were assigned to the worst possible back-in site-113! If they want to put you here, good luck! It was convenient to the pool and other buildings we did not use.
The grass was really long when we arrived but they did mow the next day.
If you are near South Frost Road be prepared to hear traffic noise all night long.
It was nice walking along the lake except for the feces left from the Canadian geese.
The off-leash dog park was a nice size but a little inconvenient to get to.
It is ok for overnight but definitely not a destination.

Fernbrook is a very nice park if you're looking for a place to relax. The amenities are not the best I've ever seen but they are adequate.
The check-in process was quick and easy! The lady in the office was very nice.
We try to stop at RV parks with a fenced dog area. There is one here but the grass needed mowed getting there and inside the fenced area as well.
The owners are in the process of adding deluxe sites so there was ongoing construction that was not intrusive.
This was an overnight stop for us so we really didn't make use of frisbee golf, horseshoe pit, or basketball court.
We went out of our way to try this out and would go back again if it was on our route.

The check-in process was very good and the workers were very nice. A nice dog park is important to us and this one is nice and big! Our site was right across from it and that helped. The pool looked nice but we didn't use it.
The park itself off the beaten track so it was pretty quiet. If you're headed that direction it's a good place to stop but it's not a destination.
