How to Read Good Sam Directory Ratings

The three-number rating that accompanies each campground listing in the directory gives readers an at-a-glance assessment of a campground's amenities, cleanliness and environment.

How to read the Good Sam Rating 10/10 /10.
All three ratings categories are measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best.Less than 1 percent of parks or campgrounds receive the coveted 10 / 10 / 10 rating, which indicates superior facilities that are well maintained, clean, well-appointed restrooms and a highly appealing appearance.Campgrounds are inspected annually by dedicated RVers like you.

Completeness of facilities

The campsite was amazing, backed right up to the river - it was great watching the boaters, fishermen, paddleboarders, and zipliners from our spot on the shore. But the rest of our experience was not so great. We thought the price was extremely high. None of the staff we encountered were personable or friendly. There were so many "rules" they were trying to enforce. We arrived at 1:15 pm and they refused to let us check in before 2 pm, would not even tell us our campsites, and indeed would not let us park on their grounds to wait (there was no place to park anyway). We had to go down the road to a rest area to park and wait. It did not make us feel welcomed! Quiet hours were surprisingly not enforced, a group of young women partied loud and long next to us into the wee hours one night. The showerhouse was a long way up the hill, the doors did not shut tightly , so the place was covered in bugs every morning that had come in to the lights which were left on all night. Overall, although the river site was awesome, the price was too high for the rest of the experience, I doubt that we return.

This RV resort was priced quite high and way over crowded. We paid for 3 days up front and left after two days. We have never done that before .
The employees we encountered were mainly concerned with themselves and discussing troublesome customers.
There were way too many campers in this amount of space. Too many dogs too and we have one. He just didn't fit in with the pit bulls and German Shepards.
Then the signs: "don't take pictures of this _____.
Well we love camping but this place was a bummer.
