Grounds need extreme updating. Most of the cement pads are cracks and caved in. Could be dangerous if not careful. Pool is clean.

This is our second stay at Sherwood Forest simply because other facilities were not available at the time we made our reservation. The bath houses were in pitiful condition and the wifi signal is an extra fee. As far as a campground is concerned, it is certainly adequate and has all of the basic amenities necessary for an enjoyable stay. The resort location is in a prime are convenient to the Disney parks and a variety of restaurants, grocery, and other retailers. Having a Krispy Kreme right at the entrance to the resort doesn't hurt either! Overall, we would stay again if we had too, but I would prefer other locations.

Made reservations months in advance, gave them all the specifics (22' long truck w/camper, 1 slide out, etc.). They placed us in space # 55 which had a broken cement pad which wasn't wide enough for the truck or camper to fit on. When I called the office, I was told that pad was a picnic pad and not for placing a camper on (which was a lie - no picnic table, broken edges from previous trailers being placed there, etc.). They said I was supposed to park between the hook ups and the pad, which a compact car couldn't have fit between. Even both neighbors (one a seasonal resident with a park model and the other who had been in the adjoining space for over 6 months) said only the smallest of trailers ever used that spot and they always parked on the cement pad. So I decided to go elsewhere, but wanted to stop by the after hours "gate guard" to let her know that site 55 was completely unacceptable. When I stopped off at the gate, she said they always have "emergency" spots (i.e. spots they hold back...just in case) and they placed me in a 50 amp pull through spot (luckily I had a 30 to 50 amp converter with me). That spot was fine, but the fact that they knew the cement slab was (1) broken, (2) too narrow for my camper, and (3) the grassy area between the slab and hook ups was definitely NOT for placing any sized recreational vehicle, was unsatisfactory.

The restrooms had standing water in some stalls, the spaces were packed SO close together (thank God I didn't have a full size RV with slide outs, etc.). Oh, from the main road, there's a huge white/blank sign where their old sign used to be. If you're looking for a sign from the main road that says "Sherwood Forest RV Park" - good luck. The gate guard said one was on order. If it was on order, why wasn't a temporary sign, banner, etc. erected? The two weeks I was there, the sign never materialized. I'd bet money there's no sign on order. This place is run down and for the desperate (which we were at the time). We would never stay here again.
