How to Read Good Sam Directory Ratings

The three-number rating that accompanies each campground listing in the directory gives readers an at-a-glance assessment of a campground's amenities, cleanliness and environment.

How to read the Good Sam Rating 10/10 /10.
All three ratings categories are measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best.Less than 1 percent of parks or campgrounds receive the coveted 10 / 10 / 10 rating, which indicates superior facilities that are well maintained, clean, well-appointed restrooms and a highly appealing appearance.Campgrounds are inspected annually by dedicated RVers like you.

Just want people to know that they only have wifi inside their building. There is none available at the campsites.

The landscape is beautiful. The back in spots are long but rather narrow - barely big enough for our single slide trailer. The grounds are clean and well kept and if you're here only to golf and relax you will have a great time. We however are a family and felt very misguided by the information given by the attendant when making our reservation. They say they have cable, but there are less than 10 channels and none for kids. This wouldn't be an issue if the wifi worked at all anywhere on the property. We were advised that only the clubhouse and a few spots in front (which is where we are staying) can get internet but this is totally untrue. I have tried multiple times on multiple devices to get internet inside the clubhouse with no success. The staff seems generally unconcerned with the issue and told me they would look into it yet have not. They misled me and act like there is just nothing to be done. Another downside in my opinion is the co-Ed showers. The bathrooms are very nice and some of the cleanest we have encountered but it is uncomfortable showering in a co-Ed bathroom where men and women walk through quite often. The weekly rate is a joke as it's only about $10 less than paying the daily rate. Stay here if you like to golf and don't have children. It is about 30 min from I-5 and there are plenty of parks before getting out here

Stayed here for a couple days. Lovely place with the golf course so close didn't play but walked the course late at night. We had a back in space which overlooked the golf course with a level cement pad. A couple tight corners for turning but by walking the facility easy to figure out how to maneuver the roads. (The person checking us in directed us to our space by having my truck and 39ft 5th wheel make too sharp a turn...but honestly I think he was a golf person not an RV person.). Large trees provided shade. Too bad the golf course clubhouse had a fire and was totally burned down.....but they will rebuild and I look forward to going there again as I know they had many events (local music) at the golf course clubhouse on many summer weekends. It is located about 15 minutes from Lebanon.... the road had some noise from log truck/dump trucks but nothing too significant or late at night. If you like to golf this is a great place to stay.
Other things to do....a couple wineries sorta close, lakes for fishing and plenty of hikes. We will go back both for the golf and to see the building of the golf course clubhouse.

Mallard is a great place to stay, we went for an extended weekend and it was fabulous. The feel is that you are so far removed from everyday life and yet you are 15 min from town if you need anything. The grounds are very clean, the people there are kind and welcoming. We will definitely be going back this year and we have already booked a trip next summer with four other couples. Looking forward to the next visit!
