All three ratings categories are measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best.Less than 1 percent of parks or campgrounds receive the coveted 10 / 10 / 10 rating, which indicates superior facilities that are well maintained, clean, well-appointed restrooms and a highly appealing appearance.Campgrounds are inspected annually by dedicated RVers like you.

Possibly the worse park I have ever stayed in. But first the positives. Very pretty park with many trees, grassy, and of course a river flowing through providing swimming, kayaking or tubing. Great place to take the kids and teach them about camping and getting them off the video games. Fire pits in each of the sites. Number one complaint was the showers; the water literally dribbles out of the showers. Takes a good two minutes to fill a cup. All the showers are the same except those located in the old building put out a slight more water than those in the new air conditioned building. Water is bad, bad. Accused wife of not flushing the toilet, not so, it is the color of the water. Bring own drinking water. No trash receptacles in the park. Took two days to finally find the dumpster hidden in the picnic area. Dogs run freely which is OK until a vicious one charges you. 5 mph speed limit but golf carts run full throttle. Lastly, permanent rigs take up what sewer sites exist so plan on electric & water only. Won't stay here again unless it is in an emergency.

The setting for this campground is awesome - on the Flat Rock River and a swimming quarry - very campy. We were right below the office, super location for the playground, quarry, and pavilion. Owners and other campers were very friendly and our kids loved, loved, loved the location. We really give 3-stars for a few reasons, that are important to us: 1. We were on a corner lot and the traffic was non-stop at all hours of the day and night - the 5-mile an hour speed limit was followed by very few and the gravel road dust settled on our cars and everything left outdoors 2. We are non-smokers and apparently among a minority - everywhere we went quarry, pavilion, office etc...Cigarette smoke permeated the air, and 3. We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and karaoke was planned for Saturday night and a band for Sunday night - but these activities weren't posted anywhere and when asked the workers stated phrases like 'I think their might be xyz happening'. We thought that was strange. All in all our kids had a great time and that was important for us - but we will stick to state parks in Indiana - we like the way the DNR patrols and keeps people accountable to the rules.

To access 50% of the sites requires making a uturn in an open field with mud in any rain. Roads are very narrow especially at registration office..I left the grounds with a cracked windshield from a low tree limb and four muddy tires.
