On this trip you'll be able to stop to fish, kayak and canoe on some of the worlds most beautiful waterways and hike on trails in the Kluane National Park and Reserve. While you're there, don't forget to watch for bald eagles and, of course, the northern lights.

1. Whitehorse - Starting Point
Whitehorse has lots to offer to outdoor enthusiasts. Starting with the Yukon River that flows right through the downtown area, visitors can kayak and canoe, and along its banks, you'll find miles and miles of hiking trails with amazing landscapes to capture with your camera. If you need a little retail therapy, Whitehorse has a beautiful downtown full of unique shops and fine dining opportunities, and just outside of town are two public golf courses.

2. Haines Junction - 96 miles, 2 hours, 3 minutes
Outdoor adventure awaits you at Haines Junction. This beautiful area is your gateway to the Kluane National Park and Reserve. In the park you'll see wildlife like grizzly bears, moose and bald eagles. In this wilderness playground you'll be able to go river rafting, canoeing, hiking, fishing and flight-seeing over some of the worlds oldest glaciers. While you're camping, don't forget to turn out the lights and look for the Northern Lights.

3. Kluane Lake - 66 miles, 1 hour, 25 minutes
The last stop on your trip through the Yukon is at Kluane Lake. The views from this magnificent mountain lake will make any shutterbug giddy with delight. You'll see Sheep Mountain in the distance looking as though it simply jumped from the water so you could take a picture of it. The lake is surrounded by old alpine forests giving you the perfect framing for a landscape picture worthy of a spot on your living room wall.
