Use a small storage tub tucked back somewhere to hold kitchen gadgets that are occasionally needed but rarely used. Consider this for the grater, knife sharpener, and meat cleaver to name a few.
Store bottles of cooking liquids all together in a solid, plastic container when driving. If one happens to break, the spill will be contained. Use an old hand towel to cushion them while driving.
