Thanks for the info about Redstone. We live in Murfreesboro, TN and that's not very far from us. Sounds like a great place to park and relax. We're looking forward to using gov't facilities a lot once we're retired an on the road.

Hey Bill, If you are ever in North Alabama area, look into dropping by Huntsville (90 miles south of Nasville, TN). There is a Army base here, Redstone Arsnel, and they have a RV camp ground with about 24 sites and boat launch right on the Tennessee River for $7/night. With you being a military retiree, you can get on post with no problem with your miitary ID. I am not sure, but I think the length of stay is two weeks but you can probably get this extended. You will have all military base facilities for you use. There are several other Albama State Parks with CGs also as well as public RV type CGs, usually on the river or lakes. There are also several major RV dealerships here that can repair anything on almost any RV and they have supplies, etc. The weather here is best in the spring and fall just like Nasville. Look us up on the Internet and come visit.

Hey Bill, give me a shout when you drive by North Carolina, if you do come this way.
